Tokutaro Tokugawa could send a shiver down your spine with a glance, he was the sort of person that could make you feel uncomfortable with the slightest change in his facial expression or lowering of the tone in his voice. Most of the time Tokutaro would not even realise that a comment you had made, made him visibly annoyed. Nor would he realise that the way someone looked at him had made him feel like killing them, he was used to it. He never seconded guessed himself, the very concept that another man's will was superior to his own was alien to his very being. Tokutaro wore his heart on his sleeve, he was a lover not a fighter, few people could get passed his steely gaze to understand this aspect of his character. All who did realised the same thing, this man would be your best friend or your worst enemy. Piss him off at your peril, you see Tokutaro was a natural born killer if he so wished or you pushed him far enough, either way the outcome was the same. Those that came to know him well understood that this did not make him an inherently bad or menacing man. His was just able to pit his will at a higher level to anyone else that anyone had ever met. Indeed this is what had always gotten him into fights as a child, for since Tokutaro was six years old he had had all manner of different fights with his peers and he had always won. Tokutaro had had a tough childhood, his mother and father loved him dearly but they argued like cat and dog, most days and most nights. They were good enough people from good enough families themselves and only wanted the best for their two sons Tokutaro and his younger brother. It just did not work out that way and the constant arguing drove them all apart and made Tokutaro normalised and desensitised to conflict. By the time Tokutaro was seventeen he was constantly drinking, taking all manner of different drugs and going all around the country with his friends partying at different raves and music festivals. Never really doing any harm to anyone but himself, apart from when one of his friends or himself got into arguments with other groups when out drinking. You see Tokutaro was n't one for diplomacy. If you were going to have a go at him or one of his friends you had better have a very good reason, otherwise he was most likely going to hurt and humiliate you in equal measures. If you apologised properly straight off the bat you would probably end up having drinks together as Tokutaro loved to be in the company of other men with honour. The strongest willed amoung men have that respect for each other, even more so when they are pitted against each other on opposite sides. The reason for this isn't out of respect for each others strength or any measure of fear for the other, quite the opposite infact. It is simply out respect for the other mans strength of character. This breed of man is a natural born leader and takes all challenges head on, the only thing that he is scared of is fear itself. So these type of men always feel like the superior, even when facing another of equal standing. It is in the DNA of the strongest willed men to feel this way, it is easy to see the power that stems from this mindset. Tokutaro epitomised all of these things. So it was only a matter of time until the fighting became more and more violent in nature. As Tokutaro was always out drinking in rough and large gatherings the arguments with different groups were a given. At his young age Tokutaro just did not realise that, as indeed no seventeen year old does. One month after Tokutaro's eighteenth birthday he had that fight that was always going get him into trouble in the end, the one where he would get arrested. This particular fight was not even that violent by usual standards. I mean someone did get hit with a bottle in the face but it did nt do much damage, no scars, just a little cut. Would nt of happened if a group of other teens the same age had nt tried to start a fight with Tokutaro when he was on his own, walking home from a nightclub. He had left on his own that fateful night, purely because he was so drunk. He had been drinking like that for years, was just one of those times when maybe he had nt eaten properly that day. Whatever the reason he felt extremely drunk, left the club alone and staggered home. On his way home a group of five boys and a girl bumped into Tokutaro on purpose as they could see him staggering up the street, still swigging from his beer bottle he had smuggled out the club. One of the boys, the biggest in the group and roughly twice the size or Tokutaro shoulder barged Tokutaro and he stumbled a few steps. The larger boy had meant to send Tokutaro flying but he had not realised how naturally strong and fit Tokutaro was, this went unnoticed. Tokutaro looked up and another one of the boys started shouting at Tokutaro to move out the way. Tokutaro although extremely drunk now realised these boys were starting trouble with him and that is when everything changed. ''Whats your problem'' Tokutaro asked, the other group where a little drunk and high themselves so they were nt alerted to the change in Tokutaro's voice or stance. Missing this one of the boys punched Tokutaro in the face, catching him in the cheek. In a flash another boy tried to get hold of Tokutaro in a head lock. Three seconds later two of the boys and the girl were running off up the road and three of the boys were on the floor bleeding. Tokutaro had slapped the bottle into one of the boys faces, felling him instantly. He then gave the boy trying to head lock him an upper cut and the other boy a straight right. By the time Tokutaro knew what was going on the police were on the scene. It was a busy area on a Saturday night and routine patrols were a constant. Tokutaro ended up going to prison for two years. The judge said he had used excessive force even if he was being attacked which of course the other people involved all denied and was not proven. It was when Tokutaro was in prison he first became involved with the Yakuza. Going to a Yakuza run prison Tokutaro quickly realised that this was a completely different ball game. Even at eighteen and one of the very youngest in the prison he was still his stout self, he did nt know any other way to be but he knew if he messed with the yakuza they would kill him. Plus he did nt have any friends he had to protect only himself, he did nt have too many worries there as long as he avoided trouble with the Yakuza he thought. Tokutaro did manage to avoid trouble with the Yakuza for the first year of his sentence. That was easy, he did had stopped taking drugs apart from smoking a little weed. He did nt want to drink alcohol and did nt really need anything from the Yakuza. It was easy Tokutaro thought to himself to be mindful and get on with his sentence best as he could. Until one day a low level Yakuza pushed in front of him in the dinner queue. This is where men like Tokutaro cannot help themselves, the smaller, slighter to most peoples minds, lesser if you like actions or annoyances. Men like Tokutaro can become angry in an instant, in a click of the fingers and can take a while to calm down. Anyway this punk pushing in front of the queue, is a matter of honour to his mind, how dare this scumbag treat him so for no reason. An argument followed and the other man pulled a shank on Tokutaro. Acting as instinctively and decisively as a King Cobra striking and wallowing a small rodent in one foul swoop. Tokutaro grabbed the mans arm, pushed it downwards, stepped to the side and punched him in the throats hard as he could, in his anger. You could hear the crack echo around the canteen when the punch snapped the other inmates windpipe, decking him and suffocating him almost instantly in a squirming mess on the ground. No one really saw what happened apart from the half a dozen people either side of them in the queue. As the other inmate was Yakuza, nobody spoke a word to the guards, another in mate had also removed the knife from the floor and stashed it away. The guards locked Tokutaro and half the inmates who where in the canteen at the time in solitary confinement for two weeks, demanding answers but no one cracked. The fear of the Yakuza was far more than anything the guards could muster. After the two weeks in solitary everyone returned to their daily tasks, Tokutaro knew the Yakuza would try and kill him so he prepared himself with a shank and went about his business with his witts about him as best he could. Three weeks had now passed but Tokutaro was under no illusions, he knew it was coming. He knew as soon as he saw everyone leave the shower room at the same and then heard the door close the time was now. As Tokutaro whipped out his shank and turned around he saw six Yakuza all armed themselves with shanks of various lengths and sizes. The first one came at him, Tokutaro side stepped the shank now lunging towards his stomach and stabbed the man twice in the chest, he fell to the floor. Two others now approached Tokutaro the first stabbed him in his left shoulder, Tokutaro was holding his knife in his right hand, now gripping it increasingly tighter. He knew he was in the biggest life and death moment of his life but still he was only focused on killing everyone of the Yakuza now before him. They did not scare him, he was only thinking how to kill them most efficiently. Tokutaro punched the nearest one in the chin with his left hand and sent him slipping over in the shower, he fell on his knife and it pushed into his stomach, he would live but he was out the fight. Still two of them came at him, the shower room was hot and steamy and visibility was nt great. It was also not a large shower room, only for a dozen people so no more than three of them at one time could effectively come at him without getting in each others way. All of these things were now turning the tide of the battle in Tokutaro's favour and everyone in the room could feel it including Tokutaro himself. This energised him and like in the same way a Tiger that is wounded and pushed into a corner is at its most dangerous, so too now was Tokutaro. Feeding off his own energy and the Yakuza's astonishment, which was now turning to fear. Tokutaro leapt forward stabbing one in the stomach three times in rapid succession, he fell. The three remaining Yakuza now all attacked Tokutaro at once. It was a bloody last stand and whilst Tokutaro killed another one the last two stabbed him near to death, he went into a coma for three months and was moved to a different hospital facility. Three of the Yakuza died, the other three although embarrassed by their defeat had reported to the head Yakuza exactly what had happened. It was clear this was a boy that needed recruiting. If he was able to do that at eighteen years old, against six hardcore Yakuza older inmates, he was better off on your side than dead. The Yakuza sent word to their men in the new prison that Tokutaro had to do the remanding six months of his sentence in that he was not to be harmed and he was to be recruited. As Tokutaro was faced with this respect for his defence against the Yakuza instead of the assured death that he knew would befall him sooner or later. Tokutaro took the Yakuza up on their offer. He joined the Yakuza ranks the same week he went to the new prison and now twelve years later Tokutaro is one of the most feared amoungst the Yakuza but also the most respected. His tattoo's hide his stab wounds from the fight that ultimately led him to being a Yakuza general. Fearless and beyond capable he is a man to have on your side at all costs.
